Hello! I would like to take a moment and introduce myself to the AMS community. My name is Jon Baffico and I am the new assistant principal at Algonquin Middle School. I began my work as assistant principal on July 1 and have been busy ever since. Before coming to AMS, I spent 13 years at Carmel High School in Mundelein, Illinois as a math teacher and coach. I spent four seasons as head boy's basketball coach (2004-2008), five seasons as head boy's volleyball coach (2000-2004), and three seasons as head girl's volleyball coach (2001-2003). Most recently I served as Carmel's summer school principal. I received my undergraduate degree in Math Education from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN (Go Hoosiers!) and my masters in educational leadership from Concordia University. I have been happily married for eight years and have three daughters.

The transition to Algonquin Middle School has been seamless because of the incredible staff and administration that work at AMS, as well as in District 300. I look forward to the challenge of being assistant principal and the unparalleled rewards that will inevitably come with it. Thank you and I look forward to working with you and your children.
