Dear Algonquin Middle School Community,

I am incredibly excited to partner with you as the new principal of Algonquin Middle School.. Having heard so much about the dedicated staff, engaged families, and remarkable students here, I feel truly honored to join such a supportive community. 

Middle school is a pivotal time for students and my primary goal is to ensure that all students are supported as a whole child.  I will lead with an academic focus, prioritizing instructional practices and individual student growth, while also providing the support and skills necessary to develop the social-emotional needs of our students. My goal is to foster strong relationships in order to create a school environment where all staff are valued and respected, and all students feel safe and successful.

My previous educational experiences have afforded me the opportunity to prioritize academic systems, using data to inform schoolwide implementation of instructional practices.  I work closely with teacher teams to support alignment of curriculum, ensuring that students are consistently engaging in rigorous learning experiences.  In addition to my focus on academics, I have also supported the implementation of operational systems which have resulted in increased sense of belonging, increased attendance rates and decreased numbers of disciplinary incidences.
As your principal, I commit to working diligently with our staff, students and families to ensure that we are challenging our students to meet their full potential at Algonquin Middle School.  I firmly believe that a strong partnership between home and school is the foundation of student success. I look forward to connecting with families and growing our collaborative partnerships throughout the school year.
